Gift for The Moms in Your Life

Mother's Day Gift For You

What’s Mother’s Day really about?  Is it about paying too much for brunch at a restaurant? Is it about cards and gifts? Is it about spending $75 for flowers that will die in 4 days?  Or, it is about appreciating those special moms in your life?

While a brunch buffet and flowers are nice, they don’t necessarily express how you truly feel about that special someone.  Here’s a really easy way to write a letter of appreciation that she’ll cherish for the rest of their lives. This is a great activity for the kids to do too, so feel free to get them involved as well.

Step 1: List the top five things that you’re thankful for about her

1. _______________________________________

2. _______________________________________

3. _______________________________________

4. _______________________________________

5. _______________________________________

Step 2: List five special things she does

1. _______________________________________

2. _______________________________________

3. _______________________________________

4. _______________________________________

5. _______________________________________

Sit down and write it in this form:

Dear ____,

This Mother’s Day I wanted to tell you how thankful I am for you and tell you all the things I love about you.

I am thankful for ___________, ______________________, _____________________, _________________,  and __________________.

I appreciate you because _________________, _________________, __________________, ____________________, and __________________.

Happy Mother’s Day!

I love you,

{Signature}

Don’t stress out about the perfect card or the perfect setting.  (This could be on a napkin and be just as meaningful).  Simply take the time to focus on all of the things you’re grateful for and all of the things you love and tell the mothers in your life.

It just might make this Mother’s Day the best ever!
